(Mostly) Wordless Wednesday

Claire and a hen named Bob

To those of you who know how much I wanted chickens when we moved out to the country:
No. Bob is not ours. We're sad. No chickens allowed in our neighborhood.

Very cute picture. I grew up on a hobby farm and had seveal pet chickens. Well...actually my folks raised chickens and I adopted some of them and carried them around like Claire. The rule of the house was "If [Moksha] gives it a name...it's not food anymore."

Anyway...I enjoyed the picture. Thanks for sharing it.

we have plenty of chickens at home...my father grows them... and despite the dung and all, i'm glad because it's a source of uncommercialized eggs for my son...

Oh she looks like my Bellina! (bellina was my bird, not my daughter...just so we're clear. lol) Sadly I had to get rid of my girls because our neighbors decided they no longer wanted to live next to chickens....so sad.
