Waiting For Lauren

We went to a local craft fair where Lauren was lured into spending two hours sewing a tiny leather pouch. While we waited for her to finish, the rest of us took turns with the dulcimers.

I confess...I always linger near the musical instruments at craft fairs and renaissance faires as well.

I don't even have children to use as an excuse for this.

I love music! My oldest is learning to play the dulcimer in his Kindermusik class! I'm eating it up!

Looks like you had a great time!

This looks like a peaceful moment. I long for days like this.

But I can't congure up what a mandolin sounds like. Is it in the guitar family?

I was raised on bluegrass (vinyl, of course!) and so I even know what a dulcimer is!! Woo-hoo! Looks like a peaceful afternoon -- my dad would have loved to be there, I think. (being the bluegrass vinyl collector and all...)

I love seeing pictures of your family together - it truly puts a smile on my face. Families - just BEING together - what a blessing.

Looks like a memory making day!
