We call it "tech time" and I allow an hour on school days - during the Littles naptime, to help keep things quiet - IF they've completed all their schoolwork and chores. We tried the weekends only thing, but my kids tend to get addicted and the looked forward to it a little TOO much. The everyday taste helps them keep it in its proper place among other family weekend activities.
BTW, my kids adore Zelda and Metroid! We have a Wii, but they still play those old GC games often. #2 son just "beat the final boss" on Zelda - again! ;)Jennifer@DoingTheNextThinghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11638610935270014304noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7792610671000365706.post-57853558525159152792008-08-28T14:41:00.000-04:002008-08-28T14:41:00.000-04:00Very cute. This gets him out of bed at a reasonable hour. The other kids get about two hours total on Saturday morning. There are, from time to time, infractions but overall this system works pretty well for us.

KateKatehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13664863153865293522noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7792610671000365706.post-66371165978980863982008-08-24T22:04:00.000-04:002008-08-24T22:04:00.000-04:00Tell me more about media time - that's what we cal...Tell me more about media time - that's what we call it now too, now that we actually have media. Do they only play on the weekend? Is there a limit? Do they get a whole day to get it out of their systems?

semSarahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14478215313237089831noreply@blogger.com
